Our client is a multinational manufacturer and supplier of premium auto parts with facilities located across the globe. The organization contributes their ongoing success through their technology and ongoing product development.

We are now looking to hire a Business Development Manager to further develop the company’s `Diversified Product` offering. Reporting to the General Manager, Sales North America & the General Manager, Global Sales Diversified Product Line, the role is primarily responsible for growing the business of fine blanked precision manufactured metal products with secondary finishing within different Industries.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the business development: from research and first contact with Prospect Customers, to supplier qualification, to preparation of the RFQs and closing of the deals
  • Grow and strengthen the relationships with current Customers by understanding their objectives, strategy and relationship
  • Collaborate with all customer levels to co-design new products and give presentations on technical capabilities
  • Work with Marketing to analyze market data, identify opportunities, product initiatives and market prices
  • Build on the company’s profile and reputation to grow market share into new territories and key accounts
  • Keep up to date on industry trends, technologies and advancements
  • Ensure correct usage of CRM software and other sales applications

Skills and qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years experience in business development (experience in the Automotive Industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of the fine blanking technology and secondary operations (eg: grinding, brushing, screw inserting, threading, CNC, thermal treatments, coatings, assembly, finishing)
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Business hunger, and determination to closing deals
  • Capable of building trust and positive relationship
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Quick learner
  • Ability to travel 25% of time throughout North America
